It’s a constant battle to find a low sugar, high protein breakfast which actually tastes good. This high protein breakfast green smoothie bowl recipe from Pale Blue Plate gives you exactly that, plus it contains three different vegetables and a dash of healthy fats. A lot of smoothies are naturally high in sugar due to all of the fruits added but this recipe only uses one fruit. Adding a ripe frozen banana gives the smoothie enough sweetness and our naturally sweetened coconut water makes your greens taste delicious!

Using coconut water in your smoothies, instead of juice, can provide you with brilliant health benefits. CocoPro coconut water has lower sugar than your average juice and also has the bonus of added protein. It doesn’t stop there. With one carton of CocoPro you can get in your RDA vitamin C – bye bye Orange juice!

You wont believe¬†how simple this is to make – only a quick blitz and a pour! Add whatever toppings you’re feeling in the morning. Here we have gone for blueberries, pomegranate and homemade granola.
